SOUTH AFRICAN artist Ntombi, who is expected to perform in Harare tomorrow, jets into the country today.

Report by Entertainment reporter

Ntombi shares the stage with DJ Cndo at Hollys’ Hotel’s Private Lounge.

The show marks the official opening of the lounge designed for upmarket revellers.

Show organisers said the South African artistes would share the stage with local dancers Zoey and Bev.

“The new joint will come with a new concept and the South African artistes will help us introduce the new face of entertainment in Harare,” one of the organisers said.

“The two artistes from Durban are exceptional and we are honoured to have them at the launch of our lounge.”

Ntombi is slowly making inroads onto the local market, but DJ Cndo has performed in the country on a number of occasions and should be aware of the needs of her Zimbabwean fans.

DJ Cndo’s popular mixes have endeared her with Harare fans and she would bank on her international experience to serenade her audiences.

DJ Cndo was born Sindisiwe Zungu in 1984 in Mandeni outside of Durban.

While studying at Mangosuthu Technikon, she developed interest in being a disc jockey and started learning how to mix music at Durban’s Finest DJ Academy.

In 2005 Durban’s Finest saw her potential and invited her under the Durbans Finest umbrella.

After that, she started playing at Durban’s Finest parties and her profile has grown over the years.
