AFTER riding high with his hit track Ndakawanikwa a few months ago, controversial urban grooves artiste Alishias “Maskiri” Musimbe has released another track titled Tapinda Pahasha.
REPORT BY SINDISO DUBE
The track, which features Kadoma-based artistes Norman “Nastro” Phiri and Enoch “Buddo Knoxx” Mashanda and is riding high on social network sites. It has already registered over 200 downloads in its first week.
“The song is all about going forward and no one stopping us, we are on top of our game even our rivals can’t stop us now,” Maskiri said.
This is the second song that Maskiri has done with Nastro after Mhondoro which topped local music charts last year.
“Our Mhondoro project with Nastro was a success. That’s why we opted to do another song and at the moment we are shooting the video of the song,” Maskiri added.
The Wenera hit-maker, who recently performed in Bulawayo, will this weekend perform in Mutare.
The Best Male Hip-hop award winner for 2012, Maskiri — now affectionately known as Tateguru (the great father of urban grooves) — always leaves his fans laughing with his hilarious lyrics.
Meanwhile, Maskiri’s rival Desmond “Stunner” Chideme has taken local airwaves by storm with his new track titled Chibhodhoro.
