Speaking on the sidelines of a show at Mega 1 Mahuswa on Sunday, the Tafadzwa hitmaker said he was ready to show Africa that Zimbabwe has talented artistes.

“I am ready to show that Zimbabwean artistes are worth of recognition and as a band we are ready,” Macheso said.

Macheso is expected to share the stage with some of Africa’s top musicians during the two-day event that will end on April 28. “We will be introducing our new dance Kochekera for the first time to the regional audience and we are optimistic that they will like it,” he said.

The musician said the response he was getting from fans on the new offering Kwatakabva Mitunhu was overwhelming.

“We are happy that the promotion of the album is going according to our expectations considering the response we are getting from the people,” he said.

The musician was recently crowned Red Cross Humanitarian ambassador, a deal that opened doors for corporate endorsements.
