The Egyptian Football Association vice-president Hassan Farid has revealed that the Egyptian Football activities will not be cancelled.

CAIRO — The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) vice-president Hassan Farid has revealed that the Egyptian Football activities will not be cancelled.

SuperSport This contradicts EFA spokesman Azmy Megahed who had said earlier on Saturday that the EFA board will freeze all the Egyptian activities. “That is his personal opinion, but I assure you that the league will resume on Sunday (yesterday) with all matches. Then our National U-20 team will play next week at the African Youth Championship and our senior team will play against Zimbabwe this month as well.”

Hundreds of the fans had stormed the EFA headquarters on Saturday and set fire to it after ransacking the trophy room.

“We will not let the criminal mob derail us and we have full backing from the Minister of Sport,” Farid told to supersport.com.
