The trip saw more than 120 people participating.
The steam locomotive that is normally parked at the NRZ museum was pulled out for the special trip which will now be an annual event.
The steam train went from the main railway station to Khami Railway Station.
It attracted lovers, friends and family members. Food and drinks were served in the coaches.
“We are still one of a few countries in the world that still operate steam locomotives,” said NRZ public relations manager Fanuel Masikati.
As the train meandered on its way to Khami, photographers had the opportunity to take pictures of the steaming machine.
