“Ten new Size 4 agency-trained models aged between 18 and 22 will take to the ramp. As evidenced by their zeal during rehearsals and grooming that has been held since the beginning of the year, the participants are raring to go,” said Size 4 Modeling Agency owner, Wilbert Rukato.

He said in a bid to develop the local modeling industry, his agency was currently offering free modelling lessons and professional portfolios for new models with high potential.

Rukato added that such a pageant was meant to boost the esteem of the upcoming models and prepare them for bigger events.

He said models from his agency had in the past scooped titles such as Miss Norton, Miss Harare, Miss Bindura, Miss Mazowe, Miss Marondra, Miss Victoria Falls, Miss Mutare and Miss Rusape.

Two models from the agency won the Miss Zimbabwe title.

“It’s time we saw the emergence of new talent rather than recycling the same models every year. These free lessons and photoshoots are part of our efforts to encourage new models to come forward without fearing the high costs associated with starting a modelling career,” said Rukato.

He said some of his models had appeared in campaigns for brands such as Nivea, Black Opal, Topics, Bella and Econet, among others. Energetic male dance group, Crazy Boyz, is expected to provide entertainment at the pageant.
