KWAITO musician Khulekani “Samazaza” Sibanda of the Ngidlimal’yami single fame has released his debut album entitled U Samazaza Lo. Report by Khulani Nkabinde

It took the musician three years to work on the album under Kasi Circus Studio based in Kingsdale suburb in Bulawayo.

The 15-track album proves that the young Kwaito musician has certainly come of age.

“We are currently giving away free copies of the album to his fans.  We will start to sell it later,” said his producer, Methembe “Shabz” Zaba.

“It took us three years to work on the album because we wanted to pay good attention to each and every track.”

Pay good attention they did. Most of the tracks on Samazaza’s album are worth listening to. Look out for Baba no Mama, Ekasi, Kas’lam and Nikithemba.

Samazaza’s songs touch on a number of social issues.

Zaba said Kasi Circus Studio was in the process of promoting the album and thereafter, Samazaza will be going live on stage in a number of venues in the city. The musician’s second album is already being worked on.

“The second album entitled Illegal will be out in December, in time for the festive season”.

Samazaza’s talent was discovered in 2009 by producer and DJ, Petros “2Nyce” Malemane, of 2Nyce Records.
