The reigning Rookie of the Year and 2012 Soccer Star of the Year finalist is reported to have attracted the attention of Caps United, Harare City and Highlanders, all after the signature of the talented midfielder.

Mahachi was part of the Chicken Inn squad that resumed training yesterday.

Chicken Inn secretary-general Tavengwa Hara told NewsDay Sport that Mahachi would continue with the squad this season.

“We are not offloading any players as of yet and I cannot confirm who will be joining us at this point. Things will take shape with time. In consultation with the coach, we will reveal those details,” Hara said.

Chicken Inn players worked out at a city gym under the watchful eye of Mandla Mpofu who took over as head coach following the death of Adam Ndlovu last month.

Some of the new faces training with Chicken Inn include former FC Platinum captain Zephaniah Ngodzo, midfielder Cabby Kamhapa, Richard Jongwe, Thonisani Sibelo and Brian Juru.

Ngodzo and Kamhapa were transfer listed by FC Platinum.

“These players are training with us trying their luck with the club. The door is still open. If we manage to get these players they will add value to the club because they are senior and experienced players,” Mpofu said.

The junior players who trained with the senior team were Tich Moyo, Brighton Mandire, Wandile Ndlovu, Tinashe Mthimkhulu, Khalimani Ncube and Derrick Chisale.
