Officially opening the ZTA office in Gweru on Friday, Midlands governor Jason Machaya said it (the opening of the office) was a significant development in furthering tourism in the province.

“This marks a significant milestone in furthering the partnership and relationship between ZTA and the Midlands tourism industry as well as Midlands province at large,” Machaya said.

Machaya said the opening of the office would help the marketing of tourism products in the province.

“The presence of ZTA here will help facilitate town development and the promotion of tourism products that are available in this province. Midlands has great tourism potential as witnessed by the number of new tourism facilities in the province,” he said.

“ZTA should be applauded for its effort in putting this province on the tourism map both locally and abroad.”
