The Saul Chaminuka-coached side surprised all and sundry by ending the season in sixth-place.

Matizanadzo is credited for taking matters into his own hands when the going was getting tough in the field of play by scoring crucial goals. He was eventually the top goalscorer with seven goals.

Eight accolades will be on offer. The Most Promising Player and Rookie awards might go to young midfielder Phillip Thembani after a superb season. Other awards are the Most Loyal Player, Consistent, Disciplined, Top goalscorer and the Players Player of the Year.

Buffaloes spokesperson Tendai Chitowa said the awards will go a long way in motivating player morale in the 2013 season.
