The forward starred in the club’s recent triumph in the Mbada Diamonds Cup final. He netted a brace to help DeMbare to a 2-0 victory over Monomotapa. This ensured that Dynamos secured a second successive double, after having defended their Castle Lager League title by holding off Highlanders who lost just once all season. The striker has attracted interest from a club with the same name, Dynamos, in South Africa’s National First Division.

Dynamos in South Africa have been monitoring the striker since last year, and this time around they are determined to bring him to the club.

Dynamos general manager July Malabela told supersport.com that they wanted a striker of Mutuma’s calibre as they were looking to fight for promotion at the end of this season.

“We have wanted Roderick since last year. We wanted Cuthbert Malajila, but Maritzburg beat us to him and at that time Mutuma was on trials at Ajax Cape Town,” he said.

“Now we need a striker and we will be fighting to get him. We will be working to get him any time now as the league in Zimbabwe has been completed now. We need him,” Malabela concluded yesterday.
