POLICE yesterday arrested two more Glen View MDC-T activists, Jackson Mabota and Tarisai Kusotera, in connection with last year’s murder of Police Inspector Petros Mutedza.

Report by Staff Reporters

The latest arrests bring the number of MDC-T activists  picked up over the case to 31. Some of the activists, who include MDC-T youth president Solomon Madzore, have been languishing in remand prison for over a year.

“They were arrested over the murder case and I am waiting to interview them,”  MDC-T lawyer Gift Mutisi said.

MDC-T youth secretary-general Promise Mkwananzi described the arrests as politically motivated.

“That’s nonsensical and it shows they don’t know what they are doing. It shows they know who killed Mutedza, but are covering up by roping in the MDC youth assembly,” said Mkwananzi.
