The Top Employer in Africa accolade was accorded by a globally-recognised independent certifier, Corporate Research Foundation Institute. In a statement, Old Mutual Shared Services managing director Simon Hammond said the certification of the company as top employer on the continent consolidated the group’s overall reputation as an industry leader.

“We are very excited that Old Mutual Zimbabwe was certified as a Top Employer in Africa. For the first time the certification is running in multiple African countries. This recognition is a clear testimony that Old Mutual is a responsible employer that cares about developing and rewarding its people,” Hammond said. The top employer programmes are conducted in 13 countries, across five continents, with at least 2 500 companies taking part.

The programme focus on companies that offer the best in terms of human resource policies and employee offerings. For being the top employer in Africa, Old Mutual Zimbabwe will be allowed to carry the Top Employers Africa Certification Seal to confirm its place among premier employers globally.
