Carl Joshua Ncube is proving to be a trendsetter as he continues to break new ground on his quest to reach the next level. He is set to leave for the Unites States for a three-month tour and tonight he performs at Rainbow Towers in a farewell show.

He said the show will be a powerful performance in salute of his local fans. For three months Ncube will showcase a series of stand-up comedy shows to a highly prized set of audiences, most likely comedy buffs.

Since breaking through on the comedy scene with his Big Announcement, he has been influential in defining the future of the comedy industry.

Speaking to NewsDay, Ncube said the tour will be a learning curve and a chance to connect with some of the best comedians on the planet.

“In New York, I am going to learn and really get to see how  comedians there do their stuff,” he said.

“Before I hold any shows, I will attend the American Institute of Comedy where I will then be assessed. It is not only about me, but one of the platforms that give rise to the growth of Zimbabwean comedy.
