RELEGATION-threatened Hardbody have warned Shabanie Mine to prepare for a relentless attack when the two teams meet in Castle Lager Premier Soccer League at Ascot Stadium tomorrow.

Hardbody coach Godfrey Tamirepi, whose side is second from the bottom of the log with 22 points, said he will attack the visitors from the first second of the match as he seeks to rescue the team from sinking.

“We have to beat Shabanie at all costs and they have to be at their best in defence to resist our attacks. At this stage of the season and considering where we are on the log, we cannot afford to be sitting back.

“We will take 100% risk, attacking from the first minute. We want maximum points. A draw will not be good enough at this stage. We cannot afford to drop even a single point,” he said.

Tamirepi conceded that his team will be under pressure more than the visitors who have nothing but pride to play for.

“Shabanie Mine are a very good side a very strong side and they are coming into this match without much pressure.

“We are the ones under pressure because it’s a must-win match for us. The pressure, however, will not affect us much as the guys are well psyched up, instead it will push us to go for the kill,” he said.

Hardbody go into the match with a clean bill of health and no suspensions, so that should give Tamirepi reason to smile as he can field his strongest side

The Gweru side, however, needs to be wary of Shabanie Mine, who are smarting from a 1-0 defeat at the hands of rivals FC Platinum in the Mbada Diamonds Cup quarter-final clash at Mandava  Stadium last weekend.

Shabanie Mine, who are fourth on the log with 43 points, would obviously want to atone for the defeat by downing Hardbody at their own home.

The asbestos miners will be led by the league’s top goalscorer Nelson Mazivisa who would be aiming to increase his tally with a score against the Gweru side.

Hardbody and Shabanie Mine have met twice this season, once in the league and once in a friendly during the mid-season break. On both occasions the Zvishavane side triumphed.
