LUPANE — A bus conductor with Leighwood Bus Company, facing a murder charge after he allegedly pushed a colleague out of a moving bus resulting in his death, was on Thursday further remanded in custody to November 12. REPORT BY SILAS NKALA STAFF REPORTER

Bhekimpilo Mhlanga (26) of the Dandanda area in Lupane was not asked to plead to a murder charge when he appeared before Lupane magistrate Takudzwa Gwazemba, who advised him to seek bail at the High Court.

Prosecutor Sanders Sibanda told the court that on October 15 this year, Mhlanga was aboard the bus together with the now deceased, Nkosilathi Ncube.

Allegations are that they had a misunderstanding over a memory card that Mhlanga had borrowed from Ncube.

Mhlanga then kicked Ncube in the groin at the same time pushing him out of the moving bus.

Ncube fell out and sustained serious injuries.

He was taken to Dandanda Clinic where he died the following day.

A medical report showed that Ncube died as a result of injuries sustained when he fell out of the bus.
