The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) has started mobilising funds to electrify Bulawayo Airport Primary School.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) has started mobilising funds to electrify Bulawayo Airport Primary School as part of its corporate social responsibility, airport manager Passmore Dhewa has said.

Report by Own Correspondent Dhewa told NewsDay yesterday CAAZ would fund the project.

“We are seeking around $10 000 for the electrification of the whole school,” he said.

“I can assure you that the project is still going to happen. At the moment we are still waiting for a response from a certain bank that I cannot disclose until everything is finalised. We have been making efforts to support the school which has not had electricity for a long time,” Dhewa said.

Bulawayo Airport Primary School is near Joshua Nkomo International Airport and caters for children of staff that work at the airport.
