Central Soccer League (CSL) log leaders Tripple B seek to consolidate their 11-point lead at the summit of the log when they entertain tricky Silo United at Dulibadzimu Stadium tomorrow.

Report by Sports Correspondent The two sides played to a goal less draw in the return leg at Mbizo and Silo will hope to maintain the bogey side status against Tripple B. Tripple B can afford to draw or worse still, lose the match and still maintain a comfortable lead at the top of the table even if second-placed Strikers FC win their weekend match.

But Tripple B coach Friday Phiri refused to be fooled into relaxing and will be gunning for nothing short of three points in order to finish the season strongly.

“We cannot afford to drop any points at this stage. What we need is to win all our remaining matches so that we finish the season strongly. Silo are a tricky side, but we will do our best to come out with a positive result,” he said.

Second-placed Strikers, whose title chase is slowly fading, will host Vumbachikwe on Sunday in yet another tricky match for the Beitbridge side.

In Kwekwe, it will be a battle of the armed forces as Tongogara host third-placed Chapungu at Rutendo. Tongogara go into the match bubbling with confidence after dismissing yet another army side Air Stars 3-0 on Wednesday.

In other CSL Week 20 matches, New ZimSteel host Hwahwa at Torwood, while Jessie Mine FC entertain MSU at Coleen Bawn. Blanket Mine will host Airstars who are smarting from a midweek defeat at the hands of Tongogara and would want to atone for the loss.

Chrome Stars will entertain a rejuvenated  FC Platinum Under-19 team at Chrome  Stadium on Sunday, while Town United will be on a bye to round up the weekend’s fixtures in the CSL.
