Report by Tawanda Tafirenyika Sports Correspondent Buffaloes showed a lot of verve with forwards  Roy Mwenga and Philip Thembani coming close soon after kick-off.

But it was the Mighty Bulls who had clearer chances with Congolese forward Ebabali Yves directing his effort wide after being  picked by Isaac Masame in the 11th minute before defender John Bernard’s speculative shot was tipped over the bar by impressive Buffaloes goalkeeper Hopeful Bere on 23 minutes.

Michael Mageja missed a good chance for the army side miscuing his effort  in the 36th minute near the penalty area.

The home team, however, piled on the pressure and striker Misheck Mburayi missed with a wild effort in the 41st minute after racing clear of the Buffaloes defence.

The second half saw Motor Action continuing with their dangerous raids and Protasho Kabwe came close with a dipping shot that was  tipped over by Bere.

However, Mwenga thrust the visitors into the lead with a powerful shot after being set up by Bernard Bamusi in the 54th minute.

But their lead proved temporary as the Mighty Bulls quickly recovered with Ngonidzashe Maviri  beating goalkeeper Bere with a powerful drive four minutes later.
