Mr Ugly Harare, William Musvinu, who scooped the crown at City Sports Bar in May this year, is expected to be the guest of honour.

Recently the 38-year-old Harare-based Masvinu was in the eastern border city where he met possible candidates for tomorrow’s event.

Some of them openly told Masvinu that they were going to give him a good run for his money at the national final scheduled for the capital later this year.

Organiser of the event David “Apama” Machowa yesterday told NewsDay that they have finalised all preparations and fireworks would be expected at the event.

“The Mr Ugly Manicaland is on this Saturday (tomorrow).  We have done everything to prepare for this event and we are promising fireworks.

“More than 10 people have confirmed participation and hopefully more people will take part because some are still inquiring about the event,” he said.

Host of the event and one the organisers Obey Hove said he was encouraging people around the country and the province to come in their numbers to support the event.

“I am encouraging people around the country and Manicaland to come in their numbers so see the cream of ugliness in the country.  We are going to disclose the prizes for participants soon,” he said.
