HARARE New Life Nightclub Located in Budiriro, the venue will today host Alick “Extrabasso” Macheso for his first Harare show after touring South Africa and United Kingdom. The sungura musician last performed in Harare five weeks ago. Tomorrow he will stage a show at Mubaiwa Hotel in Chitungwiza and rounds up the weekend with a family show at Megga 1 Bar in Graniteside on Sunday.

Musakanenepa Open Air Bar The bar, which is located along Old Seke Road, will today entertain revellers with a dance show featuring Harare’s Extra Power Dancers and Mthwakazi Dance Troupe from Bulawayo. On Sunday the battle of the dance groups will continue with various established and upcoming groups. Old skool jams will spice up the event.

The Basement Nightclub Reggae Lovers will have another dance with Redemption Sound during the “Reggae Rockers Friday” tonight. The party continues tomorrow starting from midday with the Redemption Juniors on the decks.

Red Fox Hotel Tonight there will be the “Fire Friday” event with Mic Inity. Tomorrow the venue will host the “Winter Saturday BBQ” featuring the Red Fox Family Sound. On Sunday the usual “Mad Sunday Special” featuring the Presidential Clique will come to the hotel.

Kebab Centre Tomorrow Kebab Centre will host a “Saturday Summer Jams” party dubbed “MaRasta at Kebab/Alliance Party” in the afternoon. The event will feature Judgment Yard, Legendary Sound and the Presidential Clique.

Rainbow Towers Hotel Today Rainbow Towers Poolside hosts another edition of the unique Food Festival. On Saturday and Sunday the venue will host politicians, diplomats, socialites and celebrities during the Miss Global International and Miss Heritage Zimbabwe pageants in the Jacaranda Room.

Harare Gardens The annual Zimbabwe International Book Fair is underway at its traditional venue and will end tomorrow.

BULAWAYO Horizon Tonight and tomorrow evening, will be the “Red Carpet Affair” with DJs Slimzar, Black Cee and Keezy playing tribal house music. They will start at 7pm on both days.

East 68 Tonight, there will be the “Good Jams Experience” with DJ Mark Vusani. He will be playing old school music, some exclusives and classics. The show will start at 7pm.

Mojo Bar & Lounge Tomorrow evening there will be the “Saturday Experience” with DJs Mellow T and Kead Wikead. They will present new music as well as live mixes. The show will start at 8pm.

Amakhosi Cultural Centre The “Dreams to Fame” competition will be held tomorrow at the cultural centre from 2pm. The competition will cover singing, dancing, drama, poetry and junior modelling.

Insizwa Bar Join Obediah Matulana and Jet Sounds tomorrow at 2pm for live music performance featuring the Kanindo Dancing Stars. The venue is located in Old Magwegwe suburb.

Woza Bar Situated in Emakhandeni suburb, the venue will host the Djembe Monks on Sunday from 6pm. They will be playing deep house music.

Autoworx (Kwekwe) The sleepy town of Kwekwe will liven up tonight when Sulumani Chimbetu stages his first performance at the leisure spot located on the outskirts of the town’s central business district. Opened three months ago, the place has become a shining beacon of the usually slow entertainment scene in the Midlands mining town. Chimbetu comes back in the capital tomorrow for a date with his fans at Galactica in Arcadia. He will stage a family show in Mabvuku at Hurudza Tavern on Sunday.

Murehwa Culture Centre (Murehwa) The resort town of Murehwa will blow to life with yet another intriguing festival, Jerusarema-mbende Festival, set to feature the cultural hub mbende and masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible cultural Heritage. It is annually performed by the community of Murehwa and Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe in the north eastern districts of Zimbabwe. The ancient fertility dance was called Dembe-Mbende, a Shona word for “mole” which signifies fertility and growth of dance routines in the country.

Ritz Night Club (Masvingo) Reggae crooner Jah Prayzah will tonight date his Masvingo fans at the popular hot night destination. Tomorrow he will head to Beitbridge for a performance at Dulibadzimu Stadium, while on Sunday he will return to Masvingo for a gig at Rutenga Hall.

Nyika Growth Point (Bikita) Ten traditional dance groups will converge in Battle at Nyika for the last qualifying round of the Masvingo Province Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival.
