South African musician Bulelwa Mkutukana, aka Zahara, has been endorsed by Premier Auto, who will provide her with transport while in the country next month.

Zahara is scheduled to perform at Fusion, Borrowdale Racecourse (Harare) and Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on August 10 and 11.

The Premier Auto deal will see the musician travelling in top-of-the-range Range Rovers and Land Cruisers.

Premier Auto business development manager Manfred Chaniwa confirmed the partnership. “ By end of day tomorrow (today) we will have dealt with the (oustanding) issue,” Chaniwa said.

Tawanda Chingara, spokesperson of Hardcore World Entertainment, the organisers of Zahara shows, has granted Alexio Kawara’s wish to interact with the South Africa musician when she finally arrives for the tour.

Kawara was quoted in our sister paper The Standard saying he wished to “mix and mingle” with the artist.

“We heard the concerns and we have made plans to make sure that artists will interact all the way from the airport until Zahara leaves the country,” Chingara said.

Meanwhile, Zahara would be in for a rare treat during her tour with her host promising to feed her with lots of spinach.

Endaweni Restaurant proprietor Zee Ncube told NewsDay they will prepare the vegetable in excess for the star.

“We know she loves spinach, so we are going to prepare it especially for her, among other African cuisine dishes which are our specialty,” Ncube said.

The musician was known as “Spinach” during her childhood owing to her immense love for the vegetable.
