SOUSSE — Nigeria’s Sunshine Stars drew 0-0 with Étoile du Sahel of Tunisia Saturday night to earn their first point in the Caf Champions League.

Defending champions Espérance still lead Group A with six points from two matches after their 3-2 home win over Aso Chlef from Algeria on Friday.

Étoile are second on four points, while Sunshine move into third place on a point.

In a fortnight, Sunshine will host pointless Aso Chlef, while it will be an all-Tunisian derby between Espérance and Étoile.

Sunshine owed their result on the road to some resolute defending as well as some brilliance by goalkeeper Moses Ocheje, who was kept on his toes especially in the first half.

Étoile must rue the many chances they failed to put away inside the Olympic Stadium in Sousse as they also were not clinical in front of goal.
