Quelaton . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0 Dynamos . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (0) 1 Quelaton’s woes continued when they lost to defending champions Dynamos on their home turf at Luveve Stadium in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match yesterday.

David Kutyauripo’s 49th minute goal sealed the victory for the visiting Harare giants.

Quelaton remain rooted at the bottom of the log with four points from 13 outings, a cause for concern for coach Philani Ncube.

Ncube said even though the team played good football, it was difficult for them to get a win without the “right material”.

“We will play positive football, but without the right material we will not score any goals. We will continue to lose by 1-0 margins and concede silly goals,” he said.

Ncube blasted his charges.

“We need players that are mature and at the moment it is as if the players are performing half-heartedly.

“Their minds are not here. It is my job to guide them, but it becomes a problem if we concede silly goals. You cannot play a team for 90 minutes and mark them man-for-man only to concede silly goals,” he said.

Dynamos assistant coach Tonderai Ndiraya said they were aiming to retain the championship and were hoping to continue with their good performance.

“It is always difficult to play away from home. It was a drab performance although we did create a few chances. It is still early days.We have about 20 more games, but we want to retain the title so we will keep going,” he said.

Ndiraya revealed that they had not received any offer for Takesure Chinyama from Orlando Pirates, but there had been an offer tabled for goalkeeper Washington Arubi. On the field of play, Quelaton matched Dynamos man-for-man but failed to score.

Dynamos had more chances on goal and their first real chance was in the 35th minute when Chinyama’s shot was tipped over the bar. A minute later, Chinyama once again tested Quelaton’s last man in defence Winston Chiwetu, but his header was saved in similar fashion as the initial effort by Chiwetu.

Dynamos got the break when Ocean Mushure’s well-taken corner kick found Kutyauripo inside the box and the veteran defender headed in the only goal of the match.
