Urban grooves musician Tererai Mugwadi has lost her new baby girl named Marley.
Marley, who was six weeks old, died last Wednesday after a short illness.
Tererai’s husband Liberty Mafukidze confirmed the death yesterday and said his wife was devastated by the loss.
He refused to give details saying everyone was supposed to understand his loss.
“I am a little concerned. My wife and I are grieving right now and I would like this to be as private as possible,” said Mafukidze.
“I really cannot talk to you about that and if you have a little child at home you would understand.
“I loved my daughter so much and I would want her to rest now.”
Tererai’s sister Tatenda said the child died after catching a cold.

“She just caught a cold and died,” said Tatenda before directing all the questions to her sister.
Efforts to get a comment from Tererai were fruitless as her husband-cum-manager Mafukidze said the time was not right for her to respond to public enquiries. Tererai has another child, Gabriel, aged 6.
