Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) vendors in Bulawayo who excelled during the month of May were rewarded with numerous prizes at a ceremony held in the city on Wednesday.
Munn Marketing — the distributors of AMH titles NewsDay, Zimbabwe Independent and The Standard — acting regional manager Onesmus Fuzane called on the vendors to brace up for stiff competition in the newspaper industry.
The most improved vendor of the month award went to Joyce Chitende, while the 0 to 50 sales award, given to one who sold an average of 50 copies consistently per day, went to Moffat Nzima. Patience Maunganidze bagged the 0 to 80 sales award while Trust Nhau, for the second time received the 0 to 100 sales award.
Daniel Nyerutanga was awarded for best newspaper displays. Fuzane said Munn Marketing had about 140 to 160 vendors in Bulawayo.
