Ajax Cape Town star Khama Billiat will miss this afternoon’s Warriors clash against the Friends of Benjani in the former national team skipper’s testimonial due to injury.

He is expected this morning together with Swedish-based Archford Gutu to assessed by the team’s doctors ahead of next week’s crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Guinea at the National Sports Stadium.

Warriors coach Rahman Gumbo took the team through paces at the match venue yesterday afternoon where Knowledge Musona, Terrence Mandaza, Tapuwa Kapini, Vusa Nyoni, Onisimor Bhasera, Oscar Machapa and Bradley Pritchard among others were in attendance.Team manager Nyika Chifamba said veteran midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha was expected last night from South Africa as he was driving while France-based Ovidy Karuru is also expected today.

“Ovidy has been negotiating with his team as they were relegated but we are expecting him tomorrow (today). Billiat is coming in tomorrow, but he has a minor knock but we hope he will be ready for the Guinea match. All local players are here as you can see and by Monday, the camp will be in full swing for the Guinea match,” Chifamba said.

From the local contingent, Dynamos striker Takesure Chinyama and his teammates Patson Jaure and Denver Mukamba lead the cast with Welcome Ndiweni, Charles Sibanda, goalkeepers Marlon Jani, Timothy Sibanda and Njabulo Nyoni, Tapiwa Khumbuyani, Godfrey Moyo all at yesterday’s session.
