A mouthwatering rugby tie is in the offing in the Lion Lager National Rugby League tomorrow as Bulawayo’s Matabeleland Warriors travel to Harare for a date with Harare Sports Club (HSC).

Both teams, favourites to win the league title this year, are yet to be beaten as they go into week five of fixtures this weekend.

Matabeleland Warriors — a new rugby outfit coached by Sables coach Brendan Dawson — last week beat Old Hararians 27-12 at Hartsfield Rugby Ground, handing Old Hararians their second defeat in a row after they were previously edged 24-12 by HSC.

The Bulawayo squad boasts players like Sables’ Jafet Ndebele, Cheetahs’ Lloyd Machanjaira, Paul Staak, Ozy Lynx and Terrence Kuvarega. They are second on the eight-team log with HSC on top.

HSC last weekend ran riot over Gweru Sports Club, thumping them 62-7 in Gweru.

Western Panthers, under the guidance of George “Rollo” Mukorera will travel to Harare for a date with Old Hararians after they were beaten 52-6 by Old Georgians last weekend at Hartsfield.

Panthers are home to Silethokuhle Ndlovu, Knowledge Moyo, Malvern Gomo, Irvine Ndubiwa and Masumba Siyamupinda.Old Miltonians last week beat Airforce 29-3 at Hartsfield and will be at home again tomorrow as they entertain Gweru Sports Club.
