Harare giants Caps United continue to encounter frustrations in their bid to get clearance from Democratic Republic of Congo giants TP Mazembe to use the duo of Darryl Nyandoro and Chris Samakweri.

The two have been training with Caps United since the beginning of the year but the four-time champions cannot use the players who are both still contracted to the former Caf Champions League title winners.

Caps have been negotiating for a loan deal for the two but have shifted to negotiate a deal to permanently sign the two whose contracts with the continental giants expires this August.

Mazembe is reluctant to move with the speed Caps, want with the Harare side looking to expediently conclude a deal and start using the talented duo.

Caps chief executive officer Maxwell Mironga confirmed that they were still awaiting clearance but would not shed light on what had delayed conclusion of the deal.

“We are still waiting for the reverse clearance, it’s taking long but we have to be patient,” said Mironga. “The process is frustrating. Both the players and the technical team who had planned their season with the two in mind.”

Coach Sean Connor yesterday expressed his frustrations at the delay in the conclusion of the proposed deal.

“I wish common sense would prevail and somebody would allow these players to play, it’s frustrating they are training and they want to be involved in matches,” said Connor.

“I do not know what is happening but it’s really frustrating both us and the players.”

With goals proving hard to come by for the Green Machine, the team would have done well with the two players.

Caps play their third match of this campaign tomorrow when they collide with Harare City at the National Sports Stadium.

Connor is particularly looking forward to the match where he hopes his team will be able to express themselves better playing at the giant facility.

“I am looking forward to the match, Harare City has had a decent start to the season and they will have a lot of confidence going into the match.

“But we have to do well and make sure we get the three points. We hope to do well in this match and it’s good that it’s going to be played at the National Sports Stadium which has a good playing surface which suits our type of play.”
