A new-look Zifa Central Soccer League (CSL) enters into its third season tomorrow with nine new teams also part of the promotion bid.

After enduring a turbulent year last season which was blighted by damning match-fixing scandals, the league had to stomach another crisis at the beginning of the year when six clubs disbanded due to viability challenges.

Even newly-promoted Gokwe Stars surrendered their place before they kicked a ball citing financial challenges.

Only seven clubs are returning to compete this season, including Lancashire Steel and Ziscosteel, who have merged into New ZimSteel Football Club.

Interestingly, this season will see three teams from Beitbridge — Tripple B, Strikers FC and Town United — competing in the CSL.

Favourites Tripple B tomorrow host Blanket Mine at the refurbished Dulibadzimu Stadium.

The Beitbridge side had an intensive pre-season where they were preparing for Premier Soccer League (PSL) action before the Commercial Arbitration Centre awarded the Premiership ticket to Hardbody who had won the Tatenda Chingara case.

And Friday Phiri’s men would want to bury the torrid off-season period where they highly anticipated gaining PSL promotion after finishing last season as runners-up to Hardbody.

Fixtures Tomorrow MSU FC vs Tongogara (Mkoba Stadium), WhaWha vs Strikers FC (WhaWha Stadium), Silo United vs Chapungu (Mbizo Stadium), Jessie Mine vs Chrome Stars (Colleen Bawn Stadium), New ZimSteel vs Zialanda (Torwood Stadium), Tripple B vs Blanket Mine (Dulibadzimu Stadium), Air Stars vs FC Platinum U19 (Rutendo Stadium), Sunday Town United vs Vumbachikwe (Dulibadzimu Stadium)
