The 2012 Lion Lager National Rugby League (NRL) season roars into life this weekend with several matches lined up around the country. Old Miltonians face Harare side Old Hararians in their first match at Hartsfield rugby ground in Bulawayo.

Newly-promoted Gweru Sports Club, who took the place of relegated Mutare Sports Club, will introduce themselves into the top flight when they host Western Panthers.

Airforce, who survived relegation by a whisker last season, will be hoping to start the campaign on a high note when they engage Matabeleland Warriors at Old Georgians, while Harare Sports Club will engage Red Seal Old Georgians at Old Georgians.

The NRL is set to run from March 31 to September 8 when the final will be staged. Breaks will be necessitated by national team commitments for both the 15s and sevens sides.
