Castle Lager Premier Soccer League team Buffaloes’ head coach Saul Chaminuka said he was ready and confident of his 2012 squad ahead of the upcoming season which starts next week.

The former Masvingo United gaffer is sticking to the team which had been playing pre-season friendlies in preparation for the top-flight action in the last few weeks. Chaminuka named the bulk of players who are going to lock horns with Premiership big guns this year and there were no surprise inclusions. Buffaloes, have named former Gunners player Phineus Bhamusi, Tapiwa Mafunga, Themba Ndlovu, Shepherd Nkata, Phillip Tembani, Joseph Jambo, among others.

“I have retained most of the players who have been playing in the pre-season friendlies in the last few weeks and am very confident and ready for the Premiership. I believe in players who are underrated because they have the desire to succeed.

“This week, we will be playing against Division One squad Triangle, to wind up our pre-season preparations. They are a good team because they have acquired the services of Premiership players, so they are going to give us a real test,’’ he added.
