A number of artists will tonight assemble for the launch of Move, an occassion for spoken word, hip-hop, dubstep and funky electro beats.

Premiering at Red Bar in Newlands, Move will feature Farai Comrade Fatso Monro, Chiwoniso Maraire, Outspoken, DJ Marv Studd and Hope Masike as well as spoken word artists.

Hosted by the Magamba Network, Move aims to be a regular night for mature party people, offering a mixed bag of music.

The night will offer everything from intimate and deep poetry performances to cutting-edge live bands presenting new styles.

Move will incorporate dance showcases and exciting DJ selections.

It will open with spoken word sets by some of Harares top wordsmiths.

There will also be a dance component as Rahim Solomon will co-ordinate a dance routine by the high-energy breakdance crew Flip Floppaz.

DJ Marv Studd is set to wrap up the night by getting the crowd dancing with his mixed bag of beats ranging from electro to hip- hop and from Afro-beat to dubstep.

The highlight of the evening will be launch of Comrade Fatso and Chabvondokas new single, Korokoza, recorded in Zimbabwe and Mali and produced in the UK and the US.

It features one of Zimbabwes leading hip-hop masters Outspoken and Malis Grammy nominee Lassana Diabate.

Korokoza is already getting airplay on radio in the US, the UK and South Africa.

The night will see a screening of the music video followed by a live performance by Comrade Fatso and Chabvondoka doing some new tracks and featuring some great artists.

Artists set to collaborate on stage include Maraire and Masike.

DJ Marv will then get the dance floor moving till the early hours of the morning with a thumping DJ set.

Magamba promotes leading cultural events across Harare including the Bang Bang Comedy Club and the Mashoko Spoken Word Event.

The organisation is also behind the Shoko International Spoken Word and Hip-Hop Festival, which saw performances by artists from eight different countries last September.
