Quelaton get their first Premiership football test away from home on Sunday when they take on champions Dynamos in a pre-season friendly match at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.

The Tawanda Ruzive-owned outfit have said they want to learn top-flight football during the pre-season and not fight relegation in the league.

Coach Thulani Sibanda yesterday said he would not be taking his Premiership-experienced players to Gweru for the friendly tie as he has faith in the number of players, whom he has been assessing, who joined the club from other Division One sides.

Njabulo Tshiki Ncube, Patrick Mboma and Sizalobuhle Dube will miss the match.

I am very happy with the players that I have. I dont look too much into names and I believe the boys that I have can take on any team in the Premier League. I will not be taking the experienced players with me to Gweru.

We are not going there for a win, but we are going there to use this game as a learning experience, Sibanda said.

Last week, Quelaton beat Tsholotsho FC, who have been promoted to the Zifa Southern Region Division One League, and Sundays match will be an eye-opener for them as they venture into their maiden dance with the top dogs.

Among the players that Sibanda will field is last years top goal-scorer Kundishora Chakanyuka and midfielder Edmore Nkulungo. Chakanyuka banged in 22 goals last year, which helped Quelaton earn a place in the Premiership.

Another player that Sibanda will be banking on is former Emakhandeni Pirates midfielder Sijabuliso Msimanga. The friendly match has been cleared by the Premier Soccer League.
