Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation current affairs editor Freedom Moyo, who died on Tuesday after he was involved in a horrific car accident in Harare over the weekend, will be buried at Habane suburb, in Esigodini, this morning.

Moyo (37), known as “MaFree” in the media fraternity, was seriously injured after his car allegedly rammed into a stationary haulage truck along Bishop Gaul Avenue on Saturday morning.

He succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash at West End Hospital at around 3am on Tuesday.

Family spokesperson Agent Moyo yesterday said a church service would be held at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Esigodini this morning.

“We are yet to decide on the exact time of the church service, but by 9:45am we should be headed for the cemetery for the burial to start at 10am,” said Moyo.

The body of the journalist arrived in Esigodini from Harare yesterday. Mourners are gathered at number 178 Habane Township, Esigodini. Moyo is survived by four children — three daughters and a son.
