Utakataka Express heir, Peter Moyo, will have to prove his mettle to music fans in Masvingo on Friday when he takes his act to Oasis Night Club.

This will be his first show in Masvingo since he took stewardship of the band following the death of his father, Tongai.

His fans have been eagerly waiting to see if he can fill the void left by his father. It is also empathy from fans and curiosity that will probably boost attendance at this show.

Show promoter Taurai “Bucho” Mudzviti, proprietor of the popular open air joint, said he had confidence in Peter after he staged successful shows in Harare and other provinces.

“I dealt with his late father on numerous projects and I felt I should not shortchange Utakataka Express fans. I also felt the young man should grace the venue which his father used to pay at. I believe he will live up to expectations,” said Bucho.
