HARARE Pamuzinda Open Air

Summer big fun returns to Pamuzinda Open Air on Friday night with DJs Munya Mlimo, Mukanya and Tuff.

On Saturday Mukanya, Munya 777 and Flabba will be spinning the top favourites in R&B and old school. On Sunday DJs D-Train, Mukanya and Tuff present cool jazz, dance classics and the latest in R&B.

Stars Studio

On Saturday, D&L and Ace Ent will host the annual beach party. DJs Dee Nosh and L Roy (D&L) will be on the decks and all revellers will be expected to dress for the beach in shorts slops and vests.

Fusion

Friday night Fusion will host a birthday party for one of Philip Chiyangwa’s sons, Bruce. DJs Dee Nosh and L-Roy will be on the decks. The bar is located at the Borrowdale Racecourse.

Jazz 105

Sulumani Chimbetu remains the only sungura musician to regularly stage shows at Jazz 105. Friday night he returns to the venue before heading for Mushandirapamwe Hotel in Highfield and Gwenyambira Tavern in Mufakose tomorrow and Sunday respectively.

Sports Diner International

Energy Mutodi, backed by Real Sounds of Africa, will share the stage with Alexio Kawara at the sports bar which is now under new management. The show promises to be an exciting rhumba-urban grooves affair.

Grand Hotel (Kadoma)

Friday night Tongai Moyo takes his Utakataka Express to the hotel that has hosted a number of popular musicians in the past couple of months. The musician has performed at the venue before and many should be awaiting his performance.

Eddy’s Kite (Chegutu)

Leonard Zhakata, the man of the moment, will perform at Eddy’s Kite bar Friday night with the Zim All Stars. They will be supported by Takesure Muronzi.

BULAWAYO

Bulawayo Theatre

GDP Entertainment is hosting a hip-hop dance competition at the theatre this afternoon starting at 2pm. Various dance crews will take part in the competition which runs under the theme: “Bulawayo’s Finest Move for the Youth”.

Horizon

Tribal house music DJs Djembe and Monks perform this evening at the pub and restaurant starting at 6pm. The show is part of the Savanna 2,1 Festival. The party continues on Saturday evening with Harare-based DJ T- Base joining in as well as Kead Wikead.

Paparrazzi Sports Dinner

Harare-based pole dancers, Red Angelz will be on stage this evening. DJs Zet, Flex, Glen and Josh will be behind the decks. MC Manuwacho will also feature. On Saturday evening, there is the “Black & White Party” hosted by Konz and Manuwacho.

Sports 747

DJ Mellow T will be entertaining the crowd from 3pm on Saturday at the ultimate outdoor hangout. It will be an afternoon and evening of dance music.

Bulawayo Social Club

On Saturday afternoon starting at 3pm, join Obediah “Dr Kanindo” Matulana with Jet Sounds for a free show at the venue located in Nkulumane 12. Three-member female dance group, Dancing Queens will also perform.

Gwanda District Club

The National Youth Development Trust will be hosting Arts for Peace Festival on Saturday afternoon from 12 midday to 6pm. Poets and dance groups will perform at the venue.

Mojo (BAC)

On Saturday evening starting at 7:30pm, there will be the traditional “Class of Da 90s”. DJs Mark Vusani and Tony will be playing exclusive classic dance tunes. They will also play 90s music featuring soul, R&B, hip-hop and dancehall with a touch of deep, vocal as well as ancestral house music.

Pavillion Leisure Centre

(Mutare)

There will be a Beach party at the Pavillion Leisure Centre on Saturday evening featuring Size Four models. Mutare’s top DJs, Fresh and Daddy-K will be on the decks.
