A Germany women’s Bundesliga league team is reportedly monitoring Zimbabwe international Merjury Nyaumwe after her impressive performances during the Mighty Warriors’ training camp here.

A local daily newspaper Tageblatt yesterday reported that Hamburger SV officials have been following Zimbabwe’s friendlies matches and have been impressed with Nyaumwe’s performance.

The national women’s team are using the two-week training camp here to prepare for the All Africa Games in Maputo in September.

The Mighty Warriors have already played three friendly matches against Bundesliga women national league second tier teams so far, beating TSV Eintracht Immenbeck 2-0, won 4-0 against SV Ahlerstedt Ottendorf before walloping Estorf Oldendorf 10-0 on Friday night.

The 24-year old Nyaumwe missed the first game against TSV Eintracht Immenbeck with a toothache but was back in the squad for the second game where she scored a brace.

After that commanding display, she was handed the captain armband against Estorf Oldendorf on Friday night and she paid that honour with a performance for the archives.

Although she didn’t hit the nets in the demolition of Oldendorf but her silky skills and sheer brilliance have won her the hearts of many here.

She received a standing ovation from the supporters when she was substituted in the dying minutes of the match against Oldendorf.
