MONACO — With the world championships looming large no less than 11 world champions, including sprint sensation Usain Bolt, have turned up for the Monaco leg of the Diamond League in Monaco tonight.

Dani Samuels (discus), Brittney Reese (long jump), Christian Cantwell (shot put), Kerron Clement (400m hurdles), Steven Hooker (pole vault), Blanka Vlašic (high jump), Phillips Idowu (triple jump), Allyson Felix (200m), Maryam Yusuf Jamal (1 500m), Ezekiel Kemboi (3 000m steeplechase) and Bolt (100m), along with 15 other medallists from the 2009 world championships, will grace the newly laid Loius II Stadium track a month before the August 27 to September 4 championships.

Running in his penultimate race before the world championships, Bolt will line up in the 100m against countrymen Nesta Carter and Michael Frater and European champion Christophe Lemaître. Six of the eight runners in the 100m starting blocks have all dipped under the 10-second mark already this year. —SuperSport
