Former Caps United players Nyasha Mushekwi and Method Mwanjali have made an immediate impact in their debut season at Mamelodi Sundowns after they were honoured at the club’s pre-season awards over the weekend.

Warriors captain Mwanjali was voted the Most Committed Player of the season at the function held at Gallagher Estates in Midrand, pocketing R100 000.

Compatriot Nyasha Mushekwi was honoured as the Most Consistent Player after his goal- scoring exploits at the mega rich club. He went home R110 000 richer.

The towering Mushekwi scored 14 goals throughout the season, one shy of the league’s top goalscorer, Knowledge Musona.

Mwanjali made 17 starting appearances at the club and never received a red card throughout the entire season.

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Wayne Sundilands was voted Player of the Season and walked away with R175 000.

The Players’ Player of the Season award went to Mozambican international midfielder-cum-striker Elias Pelembe. He made 21 appearances throughout the season and scored two goals.
