Internationally acclaimed musician Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi is expected to deliver a show to remember when he descends on Bulawayo this Friday.

The musician’s manager, Sam Mataure, told NewsDay that it would explode into a night of super entertainment and the superstar was already set for the gig at the Amphitheatre.

Mataure said music lovers should not come to the show expecting to watch Tuku only but should also set their sights on the trailblazing youthful dance group, Iyasa.

“Tuku will perform most of the songs that have made him a household name and Iyasa will also get a chance to entertain the audiences,” he said.

Mataure said Friday’s gig would be “different” in that it would be held at the amphitheatre where most fans would be seated and relaxed.

He said the show would also take a different direction and those who would attend would certainly have a good time.

“It will be a fully-fledged and exciting performance,” he said of Tuku, who is renowned for his professionalism in the music industry. Mataure also said Tuku would sample some songs from his latest release, Abuyangu.

“Although the album is composed of duets with other musicians, Tuku will perform some of the songs,” he said.

Meanwhile, Iyasa spokesperson Mercy Kayumba told NewsDay the group has modified their latest dance routine Dancing With the Stars and would present another version of the production.

“We will present Dancing With the Stars 2 which features jazz, kwela, marabi and traditional music,” she said.
