South Africa’s representative in Big Brother Amplified (BBA), Luclay, survived eviction by a whisker on Sunday evening as he was almost sent packing from the house after receiving few votes from Africa.

There was a two-way tie between Luclay and Nic (Kenya) as South Africa and Botswana voted to save Luclay while Kenya and Uganda voted to save Nic.

The tie-break mechanism was used and Luclay was saved from eviction as he had 18,06% while Nic had 12,37%. Nic was therefore evicted from BBA as he had a lower vote percentage.

After surviving eviction once and being fortunate to be whisked off into the Tails house to redeem himself, Danny (Ethiopia) was also evicted from the BBA house on Sunday after spending seven weeks in the game.

Danny had the least votes because only his country voted to save him as compared to all the nominated housemates who received at least two country votes.

Karen was Africa’s favourite housemate this week as six countries (Nigeria, Angola, Rest of Africa, Ghana, Mozambique and Namibia) voted to keep her in the house. Kim who was also up for eviction received four country votes (from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Malawi) and was therefore taken back to the Tails house.

This week, the Heads house in which both Zimbabwean BBA representatives, Wendall Parson and Vimbai Mutinhiri reside, in will have housemates up for eviction.

Meanwhile, Luclay declared his love for Weza who did not seem interested in entertaining him.

She was furious after Luclay kissed her on Saturday and told him to back off because he had a “significant other” outside BBA.

She also warned him that he falls in and out of love too quickly for his own good.
