Some of the dates for the ongoing Chibuku Road to Fame and Chibuku Neshamwari preliminaries have been changed due to logistical alterations.

Midlands finals will be held on July 16 in Kwekwe followed by Bulawayo on July 23 at the Manor Hotel. The Mashonaland West finals will be held in Karoi on July 30 followed by Matabeleland South on August 6. Provincial finals for Mashonaland East Province will round up the talent search on August 13.

Mashonaland West Neshamwari finals will be held on June 25 at the Lion’s Den Club followed by the Manicaland finals which will be held on July 2.

The Matabeleland North finals will be held on July 9 in Victoria Falls followed by the Matabeleland South finals which will be held on July 16. Mashonaland East finals will be held on July 23 followed by Harare finals on July 30 at the Mufakose Gwenyambira Tavern.

Mashonaland Central finals will be held on August at Mt Darwin Sports Club. Midlands finals will be held on August 13.

Dates for the national finals for both competitions have not been changed as the Chibuku Road to Fame finals will be held on September 17 and the Chibuku Neshamwari finals on September 3.

Chibuku Road to Fame preliminaries kicked off two weeks ago with Manicaland provincial contest in Mutare where Sunrise Band came out tops and will represent the province in the national finals.

Murambinda said Chibuku Road to Fame competitions had grown phenomenally and had upheld its goals to foster, develop and improve knowledge, understanding and practice of the arts and their presentation, performance, execution and exhibition to the public. Chibuku Neshamwari is a traditional dance competition, which caters for contestants above 18 years of age.
