HARARE — International Conference Centre (ICC)

After having been out of the country for three months, music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi will perform at the “Two-in–one Welcome Party” which will be hosted at the International Conference Centre on Friday night.

The Golden Girls and Munya Mataruse will be the supporting acts. On Saturday, he will travel to Mutare where he is scheduled to perform at Chapter 1 Leisure Centre.

Freddy Manjalima, popularly known as Kapfupi, and Apama dance group will complement Mtukudzi at the Mutare gig.

Harare International Festival of Arts (Hifa) Lokua Kanza from the Democratic Republic of Congo is back by public demand and will perform at Hifa on Friday at 5.30pm on Telecel Main Stage as part of Lion Lager Day shows.

Bibi Tanga and the Selenites from Paris will take over with a performance at 8.30pm. Angel-voiced Canadian harpist, Oona McOuat will perform at the Lays Global Stage on Friday night.

Winky D, who has won the hearts of many through his social commentary lyrics, will be on the Telecel Main Stage Saturday afternoon. Saturday is Coca-Cola Day. Afro-German warrior princess Nneka and South African superstars BLK KJS will also perform at Hifa tomorrow.

Among many local artists at Hifa, Mic Inity will perform at 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale and will be backed by his Hotta Fyah band supported by Stunner.

Portugal Restaurant (Pensao)

For a “Party-crazy Friday”, check out the Pensao along Samora Machel Avenue (corner Eighth Street). DJs Slow & Flak will be spinning the discs, playing a versatile mix in the garden all night long. Be a part of it!

Club Amnesia

The club will on Saturday evening host the official All White party where revellers will be expected to dress elegantly in white. Dee Nice, Mos Deezy, Dee Nosh and L Roy will be on the decks. The club is situated at the Strathaven Shopping Centre.

Stars Studio

The Stars Studio which is located at the Rainbow Hotel will host “Friday Nights” with DJs Dean and Robbie Tee who will play old skool music. On Saturday there will be a “One in a Million” party with DJs Dee Nosh and L-Roy on the decks.

Pan Afrika Restaurant

The restaurant which is located at number 4 Deary Ave, will on Saturday evening present defined Old Skool music backtracking from the 60’s and beyond. DJs Limoluv and Knally will be on the decks.

Nine to Nine Restaurant

Revellers will join in celebrating DJ Mos Deezy’s Birthday on Saturday evening. The event will feature Legendary Sounds, DJ’s Dee Nice, Dee Vine, P Styles, T Bass and Wee Kay plus surprise DJs. There will also be braai and drink specials. The restaurant is located in Highlands.

BULAWAYO — South African kwaito star, L’vovo Derrango will perform on Saturday evening at Queens Sports Club.

Khulekani “Samazaza” Sibanda of Ngidl’maliyami fame will provide the supporting act together with all-female dance group Mambokadzi. Local DJs, Kead Wikead, Emity Smooth and Mellow T will be behind the turn tables.

Paparazzi Sports Dinner

Situated at Parkade Centre, the pub hosts Iyasa senior group tonight as from 11 pm. On Saturday, five raunchy pole dancers take to the dance floor in a performance dubbed “Bedroom Bullies”.

The Basement (Rainbow Hotel)

Kalawa dance group will be performing on Friday night as from 8 pm.

On Saturday, UK-based former Radio Zimbabwe disk jockey, Ezra “Tshisa” Sibanda will be entertaining revellers with some old school selections. On Sunday, Iyasa take to the dance floor.
