With only two league matches to go in the Bulawayo Basketball League, title favourites Giants, are anxious to avoid any slip ups when they clash with Abundant Life Christian Centre (ALCC) at the Bulawayo Club for the Disabled on Saturday.

Talent is abuzz in their books with players like Derrick Chiradza, Michael Zvoushe and Hamandishe Muchengeti having been in top form this season. ALCC have in their books Brandon Gonyora, Craig Mathonisa and Moses Tigere to rely on.

Second-placed Kings take on Lords in what is expected to be a thriller tie. Kings dominated the log standings but they were eventually overtaken by Giants, who also dominate the women’ section.

Craig Mathenga, Garth Hussey, Garikai Gumbo, Kevin Manyengere and Benjamin Jani are the players to look out for Kings while Tawanda Mudzudzu and Theo Wale can provide inspiration to Lords.

In another match Stars face Sentinels. Stars will be in search of a victory after going down 48-24 to Kings in their last league match.

The last match in the men’s category will see ZB Titans who take on Oilers. ZB Titans will want revenge after going down to Oilers 90-41 when the two teams clashed last week.

Lionel Wolfenden, veteran Ernie Noble and Emmanuel Mukandi are the players that ZB Titans have to closely monitor.
