Premiership debutants Chicken Inn registered yet another victory as they walloped determined Shooting Stars 4-1 in a Castle Premier Soccer League match at Luveve Stadium Sunday

On Good Friday they beat police side Black Mambas 1-0 in Harare. The result took the Premiership debutants to the top of the log with 13 points.

Chicken Inn got their goals through a brace by Canaan Nkomo in the 27th and 68th minutes, Qinani Sibanda (40th minute) and Thomas Chimenya two minutes before the final whistle.

Shooting Stars got their consolation through a powerful header by defender Charles Mutero in the 79th minute.

The Wild Dogs appeared to have a grip on the match in the first half but let it go, allowing the home team to open the score sheet and finally to stamp their authority on the game.

Twenty-seven minutes into the match, Sibanda received the ball inside Shooting Stars’ half and pushed it to Nkomo who did not waste time and powered home off a deflection from a Shooting Stars defender.

Sibanda then made a fool out of Mutero in the 40th minute when he dribbled past the defender and deftly pushed the ball past Shooting Stars’ costly goalkeeper Pedzisai Gumiremhete.

Chicken Inn were all over the Wild Dogs in the second half and could have scored more goals had it not been the inaccuracy of their forwards.

Nkomo made it 3-0 for Chicken Inn in the 68th minute when he capitalised on a Shooting Stars defensive mix-up.
