Who can stop Giants?

This question certainly begs an answer as Giants men and women’s teams continue to dominate. Giants beat Lords 57-44 in the men’s category while Giants women beat Hawks 61-10 at the weekend.

In the first quarter, Giants trailed by 11 points while Lords had 16 points. Giants came back a better side in the second quarter as they got 17 points while their opponents had 10 points. The third quarter saw the two sides being tied at eight points each.

Lords could not withstand the pressure of Tawanda Mundandanda and Michael Zvoushe as they fought hard to get the crucial points that led to their team’s victory. Zvoushe scored 24 points while Mundandanda added 12 points.

Tawanda Mudzudzu and Tino Gumbo got 12 and six points for losers Lords. In another match ZB Titans succumbed to a 94-31 defeat to second placed Kings. Kings.

ZB Titans are second from the bottom of the eight team log standings with 17 points in 15 matches. Stars had a good outing as they beat Oilers 65-59.

Shadel Noble got a massive 31 points while Mthokozisi Sithole and King Mnkandla got 16 and 14 points respectively for Stars with Daniel Ndlovu adding 12.

In the last match in the men’s category Abundant Life Christian Centre beat Sentinels 57-23. The result was disastrous for Sentinels as they are bottom of the log standings having won one out of 15 matches.

In the women’s category Hawks succumbed to a 61-10 to Giants.
