COMEDIENNE and media personality Magi, born Sharon Chideu, has branched from being in front of the camera to mentorship through her company Black Girl Magic.
The recently registered company held its first mentorship and training workshop last week.
The two-day workshop was on digital security and held at Magamba Network, one of the Black Girl Magic strategic partners.
“I was doing a digital security training and workshop with 10 females which lasted for two days,” said Magi.
“This was my first training that came up after I had done training with Defend Defenders in Uganda, that’s a workshop for training trainees.
"This was my first activity where I’m teaching women, artists and many other professionals on how to secure their digital footprints, devices and social media.
“We were covering how there is online gender-based violence, harassment and attacks. I did that under my own registered company – Black Girl Magic.”
Magi said her company seeks to empower black women to thrive in their different industries by providing them with access to mentors, resources, and support.
