Some parents are livid that they want to march at ministry of education offices in Harare to get the matter addressed.

A FORM 2 student at the mixed Msengezi high school in Mashonaland West suffered a broken jaw and other injuries in a case of bullying.

Everisto Tsomeka said his son was injured on July 22 by bullies.

According to Tsomeka, he received a call from the school to come and collect his injured son.

“I noticed that he had a cut on the lowSer lip, a wound below the chin and he also told me that his four lower teeth were shaking. I took my child to Norton hospital where I was advised that a request for medical treatment was required before they could treat him so I had to go back to ZRP Saruwe where I filed a report,” Tsomeka said.

“I took him to a doctor at Norton hospital and he requested some X-rays of which we rushed to have them taken at a private hospital in Norton. Upon seeing them we were referred to a specialist who discovered that my son had a broken jaw, four loose front and lower teeth cracked molar teeth.

“Since then I have not had any official communication from the school despite writing to the school head.”
