FORMER Warriors striker Tendai Ndoro’s Zimbabwean agent George Deda has revealed how the now ailing player dumped him in favour of a female South African agent Karabo Mathang immediately after signing for Mpumalanga Black Aces in 2013
Deda claims that Ndoro’s parents also stopped talking to him as soon as the player had secured the deal to move to the then South African Premiership club.
“His mother was so vocal during the time we were negotiating with Mpumalanga. I have never heard from her or Ndoro’s father since the day Tendai became a Mpumalanga Black Aces player,” said Deda.
The agent says he was surprised by this turn of events after he had housed Ndoro at his place in Harare before departure for negotiations with Mpumalanga Black Aces.
According to Deda, even the R200 000 he was supposed to get for his role in Ndoro’s move to the South African club from Zimbabwe’s Chicken Inn was handed over to Karabo through Ndoro’s instruction.
“I never got a cent for the part I played on his move to Aces.
“Ndoro dumped me and appointed Karabo as his manager immediately after signing on for Aces,” claims Deda.

Deda told The Sports Hub that Ndoro, through Karabo, abandoned the flat he was allocated by Mpumalanga Black Aces for an upmarket apartment that cost him lots of money in rentals.
“The truth is that I never had anything to do with Ndoro’s money or career after he left Zimbabwe. Everything was in the hands of his newly found South African agent,” said Deda.
The only time Deda claims he heard from Ndoro was two weeks ago when Warriors team manager Wellington Mpandare and Zifa Northern Region treasurer Sweeney Mushonga called him to inform him that Ndoro wanted a meeting with him.
“I have agreed to meet him because I don’t know what he wants to talk to me about. If there is a way I can help then I will. He still remains a brother,” said Deda.
Deda warned Zimbabwean footballers in South Africa to be wary of who handles their affairs as most of the agents there were not interested in their welfare, but only their money.
“Not even one of those agents has been to Zimbabwe either for a funeral or in times of sickness or problems. Those people are there for the money and nothing else. Most of our players are now destitute because of their trust in foreigners,” said Deda.
Social media has been awash with news that Ndoro is living in poverty after being dumped by his South African partner of whom he signed over all his assets including vehicles.
Deda says Ndoro is not alone in this predicament as almost 90% of Zimbabwean footballers who have been to South Africa have come back home empty handed because of wrong choices.
“Life in South Africa is too fast and our players fall for it. They abandon everything to do with Zimbabwe and become South Africa themselves. They want to live large and forget that one day they will return back home,” said Deda.
The player agent and manager warned Zimbabwe’s foreign based players to invest back home saying that there was a need to look beyond life after football.
Ndoro was in 2018 also at the centre of controversy after he in one season signed for three clubs Al Faisaly in Saudi Arabia as well as Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town in South Africa.
Ajax Cape Town were later on relegated to the National First Division after they were docked seven points for using Ndoro, who was deemed ineligible.
On top of that the club was fined R350 000.
